Cesar Sayoc’s Prior Arrest Records Published
The suspect wanted for the attempted parcel bombings of prominent democrats including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, billionaire George Soros and actor Robert De Niro was arrested on Friday after an extensive investigation from multiple government and municipal agencies.
The alleged bomber, Cesar Altieri Sayoc Jr., was apprehended on the morning of October 26 in Plantation, FL, about 30 miles north of Miami. Sayoc is now facing 5 federal counts, including interstate transportation of an explosive, threats against former Presidents, and illegal mailing of explosives, but these crimes are only the latest in his criminal career. Sayoc has over 40 prior convictions ranging from possession with the intent to sell dangerous drugs, to grand theft, to bomb threats, to animal abandonment.

Law enforcement were able to trace his cell phone to Plantation after investigation of post office routes led them to the nearby Opa-Locka, FL post office, where most of the bomb parcels passed through. When questioned, Sayoc told investigators that the bombs would not have hurt anyone and that he didn’t want to hurt anyone. His van, which was decorated with photos of democrats, some with crosshairs drawn over them, was taken to the FBI’s field office for further investigation.
