Scholarship application submissions open on September 1st, 2023. Please review the Scholarship Rules & Conditions, then submit your essay to the form on this page. The winner of the State Records Scholarship will receive a check for $1,000 USD. The DEADLINE for applying to this scholarship is September 1st, 2024. Applicants are judged from the creativity and quality of their essay. ALL sources used in the essay must have proper citation. Most preferred writing formats are MLA and APA. Your essay should contain a minimum word count of 1,000 words and a maximum of 1,500 words. Include your first and last name at the top of your document.

Your essay must address the following questions:

Essay Questions:1) How can society improve through the use of digital public records?2) As a public employee, how do you believe access to public records can affect you and your community?
